About

Our tranquil home is close to the beautiful medieval village of Besse. It is close to the Sancy Mountains which are part of the Auvergne Volcanoes National Park. There are lots of summer outdoor activities and in the winter there is skiing and a range of winter sports at Super Besse, which is 7km up the road. We like our location because it offers activities for those who want to relax as well as for those who want to be active.

Besse has lots of historical features of interest. Because Besse is located on an extinct volcano lots of the buildings are made of volcanic larva stone. The church is of especial interest.
The views from the village are truly magnificent and breathe taking and the many walks allow you to explore this hidden jewel of the Auvergne.
The village is well provided with shops and even has a well-stocked super market where you can buy petrol and diesel.

There are plenty of restaurants which provide a range of Auvergnese food.

Our home is well equipped and caters for all ages and sleeps 11 people. Our home provides a large family space which caters for children, family and friends. We have spent many years enjoying and enhancing its facilities. We enjoy cooking and have ensured that the large kitchen is well equipped for those who want to cook.

We have spent a lot of time developing the garden so that is a tranquil place to enjoy. We have created two patio areas – one large enough for outdoor eating and the other to sit and listen to the stream that flows at the front of the house. We have ensured that the enclosed garden is safe and secure for children and dogs. We have provided garden furniture and a BBQ for the warmer months.
